A long-term resident
remembered:
In the 1920’s the post
was brought by Mr Gee from Lichfield at 7am in the morning, going back at 12
noon. He had a box van all red, gold letters each side “Royal Mail” over
Crown. His horse was put in “grandfather’s stable. Very dignified
gentleman – peaked cap, blue uniform, red stripes and puttees
